About this sun position calculator
SunPosition.org shows where the sun is for any place on Earth at any moment of the year. Pick a spot on the map and read the sun’s azimuth, its compass direction, and its elevation angle (altitude) above the horizon, together with sunrise, sunset, solar noon, golden hour and twilight times.
The thick orange ray points at the sun, the dashed lines at sunrise and sunset, and the arc is the day’s sun path, with the two solstices as faint dashed arcs. Drag the sun along the arc or move the timeline to follow it through the day, or switch the timeline to the whole year.
